1.  When and how can I/we register to take part in the Rally?

2.  Where are we camping?

  • We’re creating temporary campsites on the Gulf Stream Coach campus, using hard-packed gravel parking areas that provide good stability, good drainage, and level ground.  Our sites are ‘full-sun’, without shade trees.  We’ll provide participants with a street address and directions for your GPS/map program.

3.  Can we arrive on site early or stay on site after the event?

  • Because we are using temporary facilities and rented services, we ask that all arrivals be between 9:00 AM and 12 noon on Monday, August 11th, and all departures be before 1:00 PM on Friday, August 15th.

4.  What facilities/hookups will be available?

  • We’re providing 30 Amp electrical service to each site.  We will have water stations available for fresh, potable water in the camping areas. We plan to have a mobile service to provide on-request dump-outs at your site. All participants should visit the water station at the entrance to our property to fill their fresh water tank, and visit our dump station near the entrance to empty their black/grey tanks before they pull in to register or park on their site.

5.  What about restrooms, showers, etc.?

  • We have campground-style restrooms w/hot and cold showers for men and women in the courtyard behind the Pavilion.  These facilities will be open 24 hours a day.  We will have Port-a-Potties in the camping areas, too, for your convenience.

6.  What is the price to participate in the Rally?

  • The cost for three nights of camping, all planned events, instructional material, meals, snacks, beverages, water, electrical hookups, and dump facilities is $375 per rig, for up to two people.  There is an additional charge of $60 for each additional person in a rig.  A check for the full Rally fee is due to us within two weeks of your registration date.

7.  What if I/we have to cancel?

  • If your plans change and you must cancel your participation, the full fee will be refunded if your cancellation is received no later than 1 week prior to the event.

8.  I/we’d love to help in some way at the Rally.  Need any volunteers?

  • We’d love to have your help getting other campers settled, making sure people understand the schedule, and otherwise improving the experience.  The online registration form will include a place to indicate your interest in helping at the Rally.

9.  What about children?  Are they welcome?

  • Of course!  Note that the agenda doesn’t feature child-centered activities, but many children will find the events to be fun and interesting.  We encourage you to use your judgment if you don’t think the activities will suit your youngsters.

10.  What about dogs and cats?  Are they welcome too?

  • Of course!  For everyone’s safety (including the pets) we ask that you do everything you can to keep your dog(s) or cat(s) quiet and properly leashed/restrained.  For the comfort and safety of your pet(s) remember that sites are in full sun through the day.  When you walk your dog, please use the open spaces east of the Pavilion and pick up after them - Thanks!

11.  Can we buy parts or obtain service while we’re on site?

  • Parts sales and repairs are not included in the agenda for this event.

12.  Our camping friends don’t have a ‘Cruiser (yet) - Can they bring their trailer to the rally?

  • Sorry - This event is for Vintage and Vista Cruiser owners only.  Hopefully we’ll see your friends in a Vintage or Vista Cruiser next year!

13.  Can you accommodate any dietary restrictions?

  • Our group meals have pre-planned menus designed to appeal to the broadest possible range of tastes, emphasizing traditional Midwest recipes.  As a result, it will be difficult to provide special meals that meet individual dietary preferences.  You may wish to make plans to accommodate your special dietary needs in some other way.

14.  Are there accommodations for wheelchairs/scooters/walkers?

  • Virtually all events are readily accessible by wheelchairs, scooters, and/or walkers.  Accessibility within the camping areas and other venues is similar to that found in other campgrounds.  A fair amount of moment from location to location should be anticipated.  We will have golf carts cruising the area to help people get where they are going, plus there is a car parking lot next to the Pavilion where most of our activities take place - feel free to "commute" from your campsite to the Pavilion parking lot.

15.  We have a line of merchandise/services to offer to fellow campers.  Can we conduct sales at the Rally?

  • To maintain a relaxed, low-stress atmosphere for all participants at the Rally, commercial sales and other solicitations are not allowed at the event.

16.  What else is there to do in the Nappanee, Indiana area?

  • Travelers love the area around Nappanee, for its Amish heritage, its small-town, Midwest lifestyle, and for many other reasons.
  • We’ll distribute more information to registered attendees, but just to whet your appetite, stay tuned to hear about:
    • Downtown Nappanee shops and restaurants
