Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. of Nappanee Indiana is currently seeking to fill a vital role for a Plant Superintendent.   This role will oversee the entire manufacturing/production process to involve coordinating daily operations, managing personnel, and ensuring that production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards in our lamination facility.

FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and coordinate all daily production activities, from initial assembly to the final product. This includes setting and meeting production schedules to fulfill delivery timelines.
• Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations (like OSHA), creating a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Team Leaders and other staff. This includes managing daily assignments, conducting performance reviews, and resolving employee issues and conflicts.
• Ensure all processes are built to company quality standards and customer specifications. This involves monitoring production, performing inspections, and implementing corrective actions for any deficiencies.
• Identify and implement lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, and reduce waste and costs.
• Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, maintenance, and purchasing, to ensure a smooth production flow and alignment with overall company goals.
• Help manage the production budget, monitoring costs related to materials, equipment, and labor to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on production metrics, progress, and performance to senior management. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Management / Supervisory Role in RV Industry
• Knowledge and Experience on RVIA Codes and Standards
• Must possess strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills to direct and inspire a large and diverse production team.
• A successful candidate must have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address operational issues as they arise.
• A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and quality control systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail is necessary to ensure the final product meets high-quality standards and customer specifications.
