We are currently looking to fill a vital role for a Plant Superintendent.  This role will oversee the entire manufacturing/production process to involve coordinating daily operations, managing personnel, and ensuring that production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards in our facility.

With high volume plants, the work is fast paced and requires quick thinking, sound judgement and good decision-making skills. This is not a job for a rookie; candidates must have well rounded experience and solid management skills. We have multiple product lines producing fiberglass and traditional stick and tin trailers, fifth wheels, and Class C motor homes, many of them with slide outs. We want someone willing to take full charge oversight of all aspects of plant operations as well as managing work groups of up to 200+ employees.

FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all operational elements of production activities, from initial assembly to the final product. This includes setting and meeting production schedules to fulfill delivery timelines.
• Enforcement and administration of all written policies, safety policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations (like OSHA), creating a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Team Leaders and other staff. This includes managing daily assignments, conducting performance reviews, and resolving employee issues and conflicts.
• Effectively plan and organize work to accomplish objectives and goals, by training and developing subordinate assistant managers and team leaders.
• Identify and implement lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, and reduce waste and costs.
• Operate the Plant profitably by reducing waste, increasing efficiencies, building relationships for reduced turnover and coordinating with other managers.
• Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, maintenance, and purchasing, to ensure a smooth production flow and alignment with overall company goals.
• Help manage the production budget, monitoring costs related to materials, equipment, and labor to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Communicate effectively with production work staff; establish clarity on roles and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred.
• Proven experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
• 5 years management / supervisory role in RV Industry required.
• 10 Years experience in the RV Industry.
• Knowledge and Experience on RVIA Codes and Standards.
• Lead with enthusiasm, build up the team, and create a work environment where everyone wants to work.
• Must have strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Be a self-motivated and self-directed leader.
• A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and quality control systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail is necessary to ensure the final product meets high-quality standards and customer specifications.
