Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. based in Nappanee, Indiana is a leading name in the recreational vehicle (RV) industry, dedicated to creating high-quality, innovative RVs that provide exceptional comfort and adventure for our customers with a legacy spanning several decades is looking for a Parts & service Purchaser to join our team.
As our Parts & Service Purchaser you will source, order, and manage the inventory of our RV parts, ensure timely availability, quality, and cost-efficiency. Handling purchase orders, backorders, inventory counts, and vendor relations to keep operations running smoothly.
General Responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders.
- Research suppliers, negotiate pricing, order parts and track shipments.
- Order stock for plants and scheduling delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve discrepancies, and manage returns.
- Work closely with service technicians to identify correct parts and assist vendors with updates.
- Inform vendors of part availability, track special orders, and handle part-related inquiries.
- Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items and recommending alternatives if need be.
- Resolves any shipment errors with suppliers.
- Filing documents and maintain accurate records.
- Cover receptionist area as needed.
- Will work with several different departments within the company.
General Requirements/Experience:
- 1 Year of previous experience in RV Parts & Service Purchasing.
- Extensive knowledge of RV components, mechanical, and electrical parts.
- Experience with AS400.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
