RV Parts & Service Purchaser

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. based in Nappanee, Indiana is a leading name in the recreational vehicle (RV) industry, dedicated to creating high-quality, innovative RVs that provide exceptional comfort and adventure for our customers with a legacy spanning several decades is looking for a Parts & service Purchaser to join our team.

As our Parts & Service Purchaser you will source, order, and manage the inventory of our RV parts, ensure timely availability, quality, and cost-efficiency. Handling purchase orders, backorders, inventory counts, and vendor relations to keep operations running smoothly.

General Responsibilities:

  • Create and process purchase orders.
  • Research suppliers, negotiate pricing, order parts and track shipments.
  • Order stock for plants and scheduling delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve discrepancies, and manage returns.
  • Work closely with service technicians to identify correct parts and assist vendors with updates.
  • Inform vendors of part availability, track special orders, and handle part-related inquiries.
  • Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items and recommending alternatives if need be.
  • Resolves any shipment errors with suppliers.
  • Filing documents and maintain accurate records.
  • Cover receptionist area as needed.
  • Will work with several different departments within the company.

General Requirements/Experience:

  • 1 Year of previous experience in RV Parts & Service Purchasing.
  • Extensive knowledge of RV components, mechanical, and electrical parts.
  • Experience with AS400.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
